T2 December Athlete of the Month : Corinna Marshall

1. How would your best friends describe you? Caring, kind, good listener and advice giver, determined

2. What is one thing that people find surprising about you? I was in the Army reserves (I drove trucks) and I help lead a women’s bible study every Wednesday.

3. How long have you been doing CrossFit? Since January 2017

4. What made you start CrossFit? My husband suggested it

5. What is your favorite thing about CrossFit? I love the atmosphere at T2. The spirit of people genuinely rooting for each other. It’s a great feeling, I think it’s the way the world should be but it’s not. I also love how it’s organized in a way that makes it feel like there is a path to take to reach every goal, some are just looong paths haha, but you just keep putting one foot in front of the other and start moving toward it. It’s fun.

6. What is your favorite movement? I guess favorite would be either HSPU (handstand push ups) or snatch. HSPU are just fun and the snatch has so many parts that need to work together that it’s equal parts mental and physical and I like that.

7. What is your least favorite movement? I am not a fan of wall balls or rowing

8. What is your biggest accomplishment to date both CrossFit related and non-CrossFit related? Crossfit: Pull ups – never thought that would be something I could do. Non CrossFit: my kids/family

9. What is your next goal? Participate in the open.  It looked fun last year but I had just started.

10. What is your favorite WOD you have done so far? Ohhh. No idea, I like most of them. Partner WODs are fun, we had to do sprints in one and I like that.

11. Free write: I am so thankful to be a part of the T2 community.  Being with everyone over the past year has brought me lots of joy and laughs. It has been time well spent with great people.  Merry Christmas everyone!!

(Ed note: in almost every photo I could find of Corinna, she was holding a barbell or she was being sat on by her dog.)

Saturday, 16th December, 2:00-4:00pm: T2’s 2nd Annual Winter Shindig

If you have a huge Jenga set, corn hole set, or other outdoor type of game, would you consider lending it to us for the afternoon? Please let Anna or me know and thank you again. We have a few corn hole sets coming, still need a Jenga. Please!

And if you like Holiday Cookies but want to keep it Paleo, here is a link to 10 Festive Holiday Cookie recipes. Take your pick. I might just have to try the Chewy Molasses Cookie.

December: Early Bird registration for the Lurong Living Challenge is open. If you haven’t done this before, speak with Anna, or Teresa Ashley or go to the website for info.
