Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. I hope you had a wonderful day.
How did you start your day? Cooking? Walking? Face-timing with family and friends from a distance? Some of us braved the sub-freezing temperatures to take part in the PNC YMCA Pittsburgh Turkey Trot. Some of us, well one of us, me, ran the Double Gobbler. It was actually a perfect day, sunny, very cold (once you got going things warmed up) but very crowded.
It amazes me at events like this where the return course passes the outbound course – the stream of people moving in both directions, some, seasoned runners who don’t even break a sweat, some who have worked all year just for this race and are really giving it their all. This event has grown so much over the 14 years the Tunnicliffe family have running it.
Congratulations to everyone who began their day outdoors and maybe even concluded it around a bonfire burning marshmallows to make s’mores.
See you at the gym tomorrow: hours 8, 10, 12 noon, 4
Saturday is regular schedule: Free Adult Community Class 9:00am; Members’ WOD 10:30am
