The ‘Opens’ Door Is Closed; The Door To New Challenges Is Opening

By March 31, 2017 No Comments

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 2017 CrossFit Opens. The workouts this year definitely tested us all, and your successes are a testament to all of the hard work you have invested over the last few months of training.

Seeing you succeed at or exceed your expectations – hit a PR on a snatch, hit a PR on a wallball, get your first bar muscle up, chest to bar pull up or pull up, seeing you pull what was close to your one rep max in a deadlift, not once, but 55 times, or hit double under in a WOD and finishing the WOD when you haven’t done them before, or PR a thruster over and over again – was all very exciting! One of the best parts of my job is seeing each and everyone of you continually exceeding your own expectations, whether in the Opens or in class.  You all are amazing athletes; you put the work in, and you reap the rewards!  Keep it up.  (by Anna)

The next LuRong Challenge is starting in May and sign up for it is open starting Monday, 3 April.  Again, LuRong are doing their Early Bird giveaways for the first 100 people that sign up, so be ready at your computers at 2pm to register.

On Sunday, 2 April between 2-4pm we will be hosting a social gathering – a short workout, Krush Clothing perusal, coffee and tea and if you would like to bring a plate to share, then a little food for afterwards. It is open to anyone but the clothing is women’s; no CrossFit experience is needed to take part in the workout; no purchase is necessary to enjoy the company.

T2 CrossFit Kids & Teens

PSA: I was very premature with the announcement that the summer hours for the Kids, Preteens & Teens classes were going to change to the morning. They are not. The classes will still be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at their usual times of 4:15pm, 5:00pm and 6:00pm. I apologise for all the confusion I have caused.

South Fayette Twp is looking for volunteers to help with their Easter Egg Helicopter Drop on Sat. April 8 at Fairview Park. They are expecting about 900 children and their families. The crowd will stand back and watch plastic eggs drop from a helicopter into fields. Then the children will go pick up the eggs. They will have some other activities too, and food will be available.

They need help with tasks such as checking in the registered children, helping at the prize tables and supervising the egg hunt areas.

If you would more information and/or would like to help out, contact Andrea Iglar,
