Contrary to popular belief, summer doesn’t end/autumn begin the day after Labor Day. The actual change from summer to autumn occurs, this year, on Monday 23 September – the *Autumnal Equinox. Fall: apples, cider, hay rides, leaf colors, early morning mists, creamy Fall soups, the Open, daylight savings time ends … (*northern hemisphere)

The saying, “A change is as good as a rest” doesn’t mean ‘stop what you are doing and sit on the sofa’; rather, change what you are doing a little, try something different. If you run all the time, change out one of your runs for a bike day. If walking is your thing, try rowing once in a while. Swim? Try some strength training to improve your stroke pull. Got your own circuit training regime working the same machines and muscles every time? Change it just a little and be amazed.
