Now is a good time to MOVE, commit to yourself, your own well-being, before the craziness of the Holiday season really kicks in. Time always seems to be the biggest issue. Well that, and getting up in the cold and dark, or going for a walk/run after work rather than going straight home. We are being told again by the government/scientists/doctors that adults should get a minimum of 150min/week or 25-35min/day of moderately intense exercise, plus muscle strengthening. Do we? If not, then maybe a 3-4-times-a-week gym membership isn’t quite the right fit. What about once a week to help push the ‘start’ button?

Our Saturday morning’s FREE Adult Community Class or Sunday’s SWEAT Class could be just the ticket. It’s a 45-60 min commitment by you for  you. (There are no barbells or heavy weights involved in either class.)

The Adult Community Class (9-9:45am) is a coached class in which most of the movements are unweighted; if a weight (kettlebell, dumbbell) is involved, we have very light ones. If a movement is programed that you can’t do, the coach will work with you to find one that you can do. This class is FREE; open to ladies and gentlemen; no fitness experience needed (you will be taught the movements in class); no expectations; no competition.

SWEAT (8-9am) After receiving substantial feedback, it was decided to make this class LADIES ONLY. As much as we like to think it doesn’t bother us, sometimes we worry about what other people think. SWEAT has none of that. There are lots of laughs, smiles, camaraderie and unaffected encouragement, all under the watchful eye of a qualified coach. Super cardio and muscle toning.

Both classes are structured in a similar way – gentle warm up, dynamic and static stretching, then the workout with cool down stretching afterwards. Neither class requires pre-registration or membership, just turn up. Community Class – FREE; SWEAT – $15

The goal of both classes is to get you moving; regain what you have lost and improve what you have.

So, if not CrossFit, should you try a Community Class? Or SWEAT?

We know this is what we should be doing ….. “New Physical Activity Guidelines Urge Americans: Move More, Sit Less”

“….The guidelines nudge older Americans to get on board — or stay on board — with a physically active lifestyle, including balance training to help prevent falls.” “.…the guidelines make recommendations for young children aged 3 to 5 years old, noting that “preschool-aged children should be physically active throughout the day to enhance growth and development.”

You don’t need a gym membership; you just need to move. If you come, we will help you MOVE!
