Although this is a regular length week, the blog will be short’ish. And early. 

Sometimes early isn’t a bad thing. I don’t mean early as in 5:30am early. I agree, on most occasions that is very early. And all credit to those who workout at that time. 

No, what I mean is if you arrive at the gym 10, 15, 20 mins before class time, use the time to socialize but also use it to work and build on one of those skills, strength movements, techniques that you need in order to achieve your goals (from the list you made last week). And really, if socializing is your main reason for arriving early, then get your chat buddy to do the skill with you. 

If you want to improve your jump rope, singles or DUBs, 5 minutes before class every time you come to the gym, next time jump rope is in the workout, you will be amazed at your performance.

A lot of people roll their eyes at rowing. If you row 500m before class, not hard, concentrate on good form, it will soon be not necessarily your favorite movement but at least it won’t be your most dreaded.

Anyway, you get the picture. Try it for a week or two and see what happens. (Caveat: if the piece of equipment you want to use, eg rower, is being used in the workout, do something different.)
