T2 CrossFit’s Kids & Teens Athlete of the Month (November) – I know, I’m late; squeezing him in just in time.

How long have you been doing CrossFit? About 2 years

What other sports do you play? Hockey, golf and a little baseball

What is your favorite CrossFit movement? Dumbbell Snatches

What are you working hardest to improve? My grip strength and pull-ups

Which athlete do you look up to the most? Carl Hagelin and Anna Tobias

This T2 PreTeen says that he likes going to CrossFit because it has a more friendly environment than most gyms. He also says that the coaches are helpful and have a good sense of what weight is appropriate for him. He feels like CrossFit Kids is really helping him with hockey as well! #t2preteens #athleteofthemonth #minibradletes #howdoyoulivewell @t2crossfit @t2crossfitkids #t2crossfit ; photo @waderoth87

Saturday, 16th December, 2:00-4:00pm: T2’s 2nd Annual Winter Shindig

Open to T2 Members and their children. $20 for guests. Please help us get an idea of numbers by signing up on the sheet by the computer before 5th December.

We will be holding a ‘silent raffle’ for donated baskets. If you would like to donate a ‘basket’, please let Anna or me know. Thank you. The money raised from the raffle will be donated to Pets for Vets through its southwest PA chapter, which is Animal Friends on Camp Horne Rd.

For more details please visit their websites but in a nutshell, Animal Friends is a shelter for dogs. Pets for Vets places companion dogs with veterans. Pets for Vets lets Animal Friends know that there is a veteran who would like a companion dog. The veteran is interviewed to find out what type of dog he/she would like (a calm Jack Russell), how to make it a good match for their living situation etc and then Animal Friends searches for the right dog, trains it in ‘daily good manners’ and then helps ease the dog into the veteran’s home and life with as little fuss as possible. Our funds raised will be used for medical treatment to get the dog healthy before it goes to the veteran, supplies (bedding, toys, food etc) for the dog, and also as part of the stipend for the trainer of the dog as it (the dog) learns its good manners.
