T²CrossFit Kids & Teens Are Live

That about sums up the new T2CrossFit Kids & Teens classes that began on Wednesday. Coaches Stacey Dawso and Dana Taylor-Tezca had great fun working with our newest crossfitters, ranging in age from 6-17yr. No, they weren’t all in the same class but I know the effort was as great from the youngest to the oldest. Burpees, butterfly sit-ups and air squats are a lot of body weight movements but that is what it is all about – building a strong core to support the extremities and prepare them for the movements that will come later.

LuRong Challenge 

The LuRong Challenge begins on Monday, 12 September. The challenge is for everyone – there are three levels and you can choose at which level you wish to participate and there is always lots of community support to help you through the challenging days.

For those who are taking the challenge, measurement times are as follows: all morning Monday, 12th and all afternoon/evening Tuesday, 13th. The first WOD will be announced this weekend and we will have a group workout session on Saturday, 17th September at 8:00am (before the Community Workout). The gym will be open at 7:30am for you to warm-up and find a partner to judge your performance. Heat 1 of the workout will begin promptly at 8:00am.

Kill Cliff Granite Games 2016

Don’t know if you have heard of the Kill Cliff Granite Games 2016, 9-11 September. This competition is the culmination event of several qualifying heats earlier in the year. T2CrossFit actually has two athletes competing as part of a team, Revive & Recor; John Hansen and Steve Dukes teamed up with Ethan Helbig and made it to the ASRX Team of 3 category. Fred Lowe Lifting Seminar

If you are new to CrossFit or you have been ‘drinking the cool aid’ for a while, there is a possibility that you could still use a little help with your Olympic snatch lift.
